The Princeton Shadows of the Blue and Gray has been active for over two decades now. History education is our main purpose for what we do. Sharing and portraying the history of the American Civil War not only as it was in Illinois but as it was in all the theaters of the war.

We try to portray the Civil War as it really was and share the experiences that the soldiers and civilians of the time dealt with. Times were tough throughout the country and Illinois was no different. Families were torn apart never to see their sons, brothers, fathers, in one piece or at all ever again.

Military & Civilian presenters are all a part of the weekend experience.  A lot of time, work, & money is put into this annual weekend event. We hope that you come out, show your support, and most of all learn.
